And this is me -- Michaela Ludwig - Supplied by the Innisfail Province

It has been my dream to be a writer for as long as I can remember. I currently work as a reporter for a small weekly newspaper in Central Alberta, Canada. Before becoming employed here, I worked for a different weekly newspaper, also in Alberta.

I attended college for journalism from 2005 to 2007, when I graduated with honours. During my time in school, I worked as a reporter and editor for my college newspaper. I have also worked as a reporter for my hometown daily newspaper during the summer between my first and second year of school, and also as part of my high school co-op in 2005.

During my writing career, I have covered stories on political issues, local government, sports, animals, farming and much more. I have also done many feature pieces and business stories.

Although I love my job as a reporter, my ambition is to become a full-time freelance writer.

Next to writing, horses are my biggest passion.
